This week, 11th – 17th May, we celebrate Rabbit Awareness Week. This is a chance for us all to spare a thought for beautiful bunnies everywhere and do what we can to spread the word about rabbits as pets.
Rabbits are incredibly social animals and prefer to be kept with other rabbits. When interacting with your rabbit, it’s recommended you do so at ground level as much as possible to minimise stress to the critter. Incredibly, rabbits can also be clicker trained to perform some basic tasks like using a litter tray or sitting on their hind legs for food – many rabbits actually really enjoy this mental stimulation (as well as the treats which follow!)

While you’re celebrating all things rabbit, why not take the BUAV Cruelty Free pledge and show the world you do not support animal testing on rabbits in any form: https://www.change.org/p/ethical-shoppers-make-the-switch-to-cruelty-free-cleaning-by-pledging-to-use-only-leaping-bunny-certified-cleaning-products
