RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch – this weekend in a garden near you

Big Garden Birdwatch, the world’s biggest wildlife survey, is taking place this weekend, 24-25 January. If you’d like to get involved and record the critters that fly, grow and lurk in the spaces around you, register today and get ready to start surveying.

RSPB are asking people to spend an hour during the weekend counting birds and any other wildlife in their garden. Around half a million people took part last year, with 7 million birds counted last year alone.

Bird populations are a great indicator of the health of the countryside, so it’s really important to take part in surveys like Big Garden Birdwatch to keep an eye on the ups and downs of the wildlife where we live. The more people involved, the more we can all learn. So if you’d like to take part, visit to receive your free pack and get started.

Have fun!
