Wildlife Poetry Competition: Calling all Future Poets

Born Free Foundation have announced the launch of their 30th Anniversary Children’s Poetry Competition to help commemorate 30 years of saving wildlife.

School children aged 7 – 14 are called upon to get writing, and send the charity their poems and illustrations about animals and wildlife. Judging panel includes Virginia McKenna, Pam Ayres and more and winning poems will be published in a special Born Free book to mark the event.

If you know a small person who happens to love wildlife, and writing about wildlife, this could be a great way to get them involved in a fantastic organisation, through seeing their own words come to life. The competition runs until the end of this month so time is of the essence!

Happy writing everyone!
