Justice secretary outlines air gun licence plans to tackle pet shootings

Justice secretary Kenny MacAskill has made a commitment to licensing air guns in a push to stamp out attacks on animals.

Mr MacAskill met pet owners and staff who have seen animals seriously injured and killed in air weapon attacks.

The Scottish SPCA is backing the licensing of air weapons and hopes it will help prevent more attacks on animals.
